Ezo-Shika (Hokkaido deer) They are very active between autumn and early spring. Doe form herds. Beware of them when you drive as they might suddenly appear, and run across the road. |
Ezo-Risu (Hokkaido squirrel) They skillfully use their huge tails when they jump from one tree to another. They keep being active even in winter. |
Kita-Kitsune (Northern fox) You have fairly good chances to spot them throughout the year. They are quite friendly but please do not feed them. |

Cosmos Appointed as Village Flower. In autumn, you will enjoy various shades of pink and white of them in Tsurui-Mura. |
Watasuge (Cotton-Sedge) Grow up to 40cm and form cotton-like seeds after the flowering season in July. |
Yachi-bozu These strangely shaped plants are peculiar to the Marsh. They are in fact the bunches of sedges formed in these shapes as the ground is repeatedly raised and sunk by the snow, ice and water. |

The Farm covers the area of 10ha, has facilities for lodging. People visit here to enjoy riding Dosanko horses and elplore Kushiro Marsh National Park. This is one of the best ways for experiencing the Marsh. |

Onnenai Visitor Center

* Take Akan Bus at JR Kushiro Station, bound for Tsurui Hoyo Center. Get off the bus at Onnenai Visitor Center Mae. Walk for 3 minutes.
Opening hours / 10:00 ~17:00 (April ~ October) 10:00 ~ 16:00 (November ~ March) * Closes on every Tuesday.
Takes 35 minutes by car either from JR Kushiro Station or Kushiro Airport. They have well-built wooden paths (3.1 km long) that enables you to observe wild birds such as green finch, and numerous plants in the Marsh. |
